03 Nov PHS Students Play the Mystic!

Each year students from the PHS Varsity Jazz Band open a night of music and dancing at the Mystic Theater to raise money for the music program. This year on January 21, we welcome back Con Brio. This high energy dance band was a big hit last year and we’re excited to have them back. Please mark your calendar and get your tickets now! Hello Boosters! Here’s the latest news on what’s happening in you kids music world.

Open Mic

This Wednesday September 7, and every first Wednesday of the month, is the Teen Open Mic at Aqus Cafe hosted by the PHS Music Leadership. It’s a great opportunity to sing your song or play your music in front of a supportive audiance. Come on down and try it out or listen and support your friends!

Next Booster Meeting

The next Booster Meeting in this Thursday at 7:00 in the Band Room. Everyone is welcome to attend.

PHS vs Analy Football

This is PHS Marching Band’s first performance of the year. Come out and support the band and watch PHS Trojans take on Analy. If you haven’t experienced this yet, it’s a fun night out sitting behind the band and watching them work with the cheerleaders to whip up the crowd and help push PHS to victory!

Have you Paid Your Uniform Dues?

If you haven’t paid for your student’s uniforms yet, please do so soon. We count on these funds to help keep our uniforms in good condition, clean, and available to everyone. As of now, only about 60% of the students have paid. If you’re not sure if you paid, reply to this email and ask us. Here is the uniform cost breakdown:

30 Jul Booster Update!

Hello Music Lovers,

Welcome to the 2016/17 music year at Petaluma High School! Now that we’ve added all of the freshman parents to our email list, this may be your first Booster Update. We will send these out occasionally with some important information on upcoming events and news you need navigate the year.

Quick summary about who the Boosters are and what we do. You can join the Boosters as a member, volunteer, board member, or officer. We help our Music Director, Cliff Eveland, with organizing trips, music competitions, special events, and fundraising. There is a LOT of work to do and we need help! Please plan to come to parent Night on August 18, to meet our Board and learn more about what to expect this year.

Band/Color Guard Camp

Band/Color Guard Camp runs from August 8 to August 12. Click on the link at the bottom of this page for the full schedule of each day on our webpage. Please plan to join us that Friday night for the family show starting at 7:00 in the quad. We still need help that week serving food so please go to this link and sign up if you can:

Parent Night – Win Valuable Prizes if You Attend

If you son or daughter is in any of the music programs please come to parent night at 7:00 in the band room on August 18. We really want to talk to you about the upcoming year, what to expect, and how you can help us to help you kids. This year, we’ll be raffling of music swag and a pair of tickets to our Music show at the Mystic on January 21, 2017 if you attend.

Petaluma Music Festival

We are still looking for volunteers to work the Petaluma Music Festival on August 5, 6, or7. If you sign up to volunteer for any one shift you receive free admission to the festival for the whole day. Go to: to sign up. Profits from this event go right back to Petaluma Schools music programs. Be sure to select Petaluma High School in the drop down box as the more volunteers from PHS, the bigger the return to our school.

29 May Booster Update

Jazz Supper Club

We understand that a lot of people couldn’t get into the Big Easy last night. We’re sorry to hear that. It sounds like we have outgrown the space and we’ll be looking at options to accommodate everyone if we do this again next year. 

Teen Open Mic This Wednesday at Aqus

At the Music Awards last week I heard a lot of students who are working with their side bands. Everyone is welcome to come down to Aqus (first Wednesday of each month) and try out your tunes. This coming Wednesday, June 3, from 7:00-9:00. Sing up at 6:30.

Calling All Uniforms

Please make sure that all of the students get their uniforms back to the band room this week! We need to get these out to the cleaners and get ready for next year!

Next Booster Meeting

The final Booster Meeting of the year will be Thursday June 2, at 7:00 in the Band Room. All are welcome to attend.

08 Mar Mandatory Meeting for Chicago Trip

If your student will be traveling on the music trip to Chicago there will be a mandatory meeting on Friday March 18, at 7:00 in the band room. All students planning to go on the trip are required to be at this meeting with at least one parent for important news and information about logistics and school policies.

Chicago Here We Come!

Last Payment ($250) is due this Friday to Cliff. 

There will be a mandatory student/parent meeting for the Chicago trip on Friday, March 18th at 7:00 PM in the Band Room.  All students going to Chicago and one of their parents must attend.

2016 Wine, Craft Beer, Food Festival

What are you doing on Saturday, March 12? Varsity Jazz Ensemble will be performing at the Lion’s Food Festival (a fundraiser for Project Graduation) on Saturday, March 12th at 6:00 PM at the Veterans Building. 100% of your $40 ticket goes straight to Project Graduation and to support our class of 2016 seniors in enjoying a fun, festive, celebratory and above all, SAFE graduation night. Drum Line/Color Guard NCBA Competition This Saturday 

Everyone trekking to Fairfield this Saturday are to meet at the school at 8:00 am. Emails were sent out to those parents with directions and details. If anyone needs more information, just reply to this email.  

Open Mic for Students!

Beginning in March, Aqus Cafe will host an Open Mic for students the first Wednesday of every month. If you have  a young performer, come on down to Aqus to play your instrument or sing your song.
